KATHMANDU: Five Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General.
A promotion committee formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs Thursday recommended the names of SSPs Ishwar Karki, Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, Dinesh Kumar Acharya, Arun Paudel and Govinda Thapaliya for promotion to DIG.
Karki is currently assigned to the Research, Planning and Development Directorate, while Bhatta is stationed at the Karnali Provincial Police Training Center in Surkhet. Similarly, Acharya is with the Narcotics Control Bureau, Paudel is posted at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and Thapaliya is with the Human Resource Development Department.
The promotion list was published as per Rule 27 (4) of Police Regulations, 2014, according to a notice published by the Promotion Committee Secretariat on Thursday.
