Five new faces in Dahal’s cabinet

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who was sworn in on Monday, has formed an eight-member cabinet including three deputy prime ministers.

Dahal and Deputy Prime Ministers Bishnu Poudel and Narayan Kaji Shrestha are the old faces in the cabinet. This is Dahal’s third stint as prime minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane and ministers Rajendra Kumar Rai, Jwala Kumari Sah, Damodar Bhandari and Abdul Khan are the new faces in the cabinet.

While Lamichhane is the chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party, Khan is the vice chairman of Janamat Party. UML lawmakers Rai, Bhandari and Sah are also the new faces in Dahal’s cabinet.
