
KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five individuals in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found on Saturday afternoon near Narayantar in Gokarneshwar Municipality, Kathmandu.
The woman’s body was discovered submerged in the Bagmati River near Naami College. A post-mortem examination confirmed that she had been murdered. However, police have yet to identify the deceased.
According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, a team deployed by the Bouddha Police Circle arrested Kailash Khadka (25) from Bamgati Rural Municipality in Sarlahi, Roshan Tamang (24) from Myagang Rural Municipality in Nuwakot, Puja Pariyar (20) from Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchowk, and a minor boy as part of the investigation into the woman’s murder.
Police have obtained a six-day remand for the five suspects for investigation into the case.
