FC Black Bulls to play against Nepal APF Club in KP Oli Cup opener

KATHMANDU: FC Black Bulls of Uzbekistan will face Nepal APF Club in the opening match of the KP Oli Cup Football Championship which begins in Kathmandu next week.

Black Bulls, which lifted the title of the 24th Pokhara Gold Cup last week, will start their campaign in the knock-out tournament that features nine teams, including two foreign clubs, according to the fixtures released by the National Youth Federation of Nepal on Tuesday.

FC Transport United of Bhutan is the other foreign team participating in the tournament.

The winner of the February 23 opener between FC Black Bulls and Nepal APF Club will advance to face Sankata Club in the quarterfinals on February 25.

Other quarterfinal matchups include Tribhuvan Army Club versus Nepal Police Club, KP Oli FC against New Road Team, and Machhindra Club taking on FC Transport United.

The semifinals are scheduled for February 28 and March 1, with the final set for March 3.

While the final and semifinals will be held at Dasharath Stadium, the other matches will be played at ANFA Complex, Satdobato.
