POKHARA: FC Black Bulls of Uzbekistan secured their place in the semifinals of the 24th Aha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup by defeating Thunderbolt North United of Sikkim, India, with a commanding 3-0 victory at Pokhara Stadium on Tuesday.
Slomjon Abdukodirov opened the scoring for the Uzbek side in the 41st minute of the first half. He received a precise pass from Shavkatjon Sattorov inside the Thunderbolt D-box and unleashed a powerful shot from a tight angle to put his team ahead. Sayidjamol Davlatjonov extended the lead in the 73rd minute, connecting with a well-placed pass from Sattorov at the edge of the box and slotting it home.
Shavkatjon Sattorov sealed the victory with a stunning long-range effort from outside the box, leaving the Thunderbolt goalkeeper rooted to his spot as the ball found the back of the net.
FC Black Bulls will now face five-time champions Three Star Club in the semifinal on February 13
