KATHMANDU: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has announced that embossed number plates will be mandatory from October 17.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, the DoTM stated that the installation of embossed number plates will be compulsory to avail services such as vehicle registration, ownership transfer, and renewal at its offices.
In a meeting with provincial transport ministers and secretaries held in Kathmandu on August 5, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport decided to make the installation of embossed number plates mandatory across the country. The meeting was chaired by
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal.
In the notice, the DoTM urged all vehicle owners to install embossed number plates at the earliest.
