KATHMANDU: Nepal Premier League (NPL) has made public eight marquee players for its franchise teams.
National team captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Aasif Sheikh, Kushlar Bhurtal and Kushal Malla have been announced as marquee players of NPL.
NPL made the marquee players public through a series of social media posts on Friday.
The eight NPL teams will be based in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim. CAN has already auctioned the eight teams to different corporate houses. Pokhara fetched the highest bid at Rs 35.7 million, while Karnali was sold for the lowest price of Rs 11.17 million.
The inaugural season of the NPL will take place from November 30 to December 21.
