KATHMANDU: Islam followers across the country celebrated Eid Ul Fitr on Monday, marking the end of Ramadan – the holy month of fasting and prayer.
The festival, observed after the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon on Sunday evening, brought communities together in a spirit of gratitude and festivity. Hundreds gathered at mosques, including the prominent Kashmiri Jama Mosque in Kathmandu, for mass prayers at dawn.
The government declared a public holiday on Monday, allowing families to reunite, share festive meals and exchange greetings.
