KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has said that elected representatives from the federal, provincial and local levels are working together to improve the quality of education in community schools.

Speaking at the 77th annual celebration of Padmakanya Vidhyashram Secondary School on Monday, Singh expressed happiness over the success of community schools in Kathmandu-1 seat of the House of Representatives in providing quality education. Singh added that he has been focusing on improving the physical infrastructure and educational quality of community schools since he first got elected in 2007.

“We have worked together with all three levels of government to improve the infrastructure and standards of all community schools in Kathmandu-1. The community schools in our constituency are no less than private schools. It feels good to hear about the good results,” he added.
