KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has expressed concern about a conspiracy to oust his party from the ruling coalition.

Addressing a program organized by the party’s sister organization in Kathmandu on Monday, Nepal called upon everyone to remain vigilant regarding this conspiracy aimed at weakening the ruling coalition. “We formed this coalition, and the onus is now on us to protect it,” he added.

Nepal also pointed out ongoing efforts to exclude the Unified Socialist from the coalition by pressuring it to oppose the MCC agreement.

Furthermore, the former Prime Minister argued that Nepal would have no role in the implementation of the MCC Nepal Compact had the country not included an explanatory declaration when passing the agreement through parliament.
