KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has submitted the report of the November 20 elections to President Bidya DeviBhandari.
Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya handed over the report with counting results to President Bhandari at the latter’s office on Thursday.
Issuing a statement, the Election Commission said it submitted the election report and the counting results to the President as per Article 63 of the Constitution of Nepal.
Other office-bearers of the Election Commission were also present on the occasion, according to the statement.
As per Article 76 (3) of the constitution, the new government must be formed within 30 days of the submission of the election report to the President.
