KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has sought clarification from the Chairperson of the Rupandehi District Committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) regarding the burning of the CPN-UML’s flag during an RSP event.
“A complaint has been received regarding the burning of the UML’s party flag and the chanting of indecent slogans against its Chairperson. Since such acts are against Section 4(O) and Section 13(1)(E) of the Election Code of Conduct, 2026, you are requested to submit a clarification to the Election Commission within 24 hours of receiving this letter, stating what happened on the day and whether your party cadres were involved in the incident,” reads a letter addressed to the Rupandehi District Committee Chairperson of the RSP.
