Dr Swarnim Wagle becomes RSP Vice President

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has nominated Dr. Swornim Wagle to the post of Vice President of the party.

The decision was made during the joint meeting of the RSP’s central committee and parliamentary party in Jaleshwar, Mahottari, on Wednesday.

There is a provision for two vice presidents in RSP, as per the party statute. Dr. Wagle will be behind another Vice President, DP Aryal, in the party hierarchy.

Dr. Wagle, a seasoned economist, resigned from the Nepali Congress to join RSP in April. He contested the by-polls in the Tanahun-1 constituency of the House of Representatives as the candidate of RSP. He won the election by a huge margin.
