KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Dr Shiva Raj Adhikari as the vice chairperson of the National Planning Commission.
Dr Adhikari is a former chief of the Central Department of Economics at Tribhuvan University. He was previously serving as a member of the NPC – the apex advisory body of the government for formulating a national vision, development policy, periodic plans and sectoral policies.
According to Government Spokesperson and Minsiter for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, Dr Aarti Bichhar, Dr. Ramesh Prasad Singh, D Prakash Kumar SHrestha, Gita Kumari Paudel Adhikari, Dr Jaya Bahadur Tandan and Gangadutta Abasthai have been appointed as members.
