KATHMANDU: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police, Ram Dutta Joshi, has been recommended for promotion to the rank of Additional Inspector General (AIG).
A meeting of the promotion committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs held on Monday decided to promote Joshi to AIG, as per Rule 27 (4) of the Nepal Police Regulations, 2014 (With Amendments).
DIG Joshi is currently serving in the Provincial Coordination Department of Nepal Police.
He has been recommended to fill the position that became vacant with the retirement of AIG Umesh Raj Joshi.
Earlier, DIG Posh Raj Pokharel was recommended for promotion to AIG. However, he completed his term before he could be appointed to the rank of AIG.
