KATHMANDU: Mukul Dhakal, former Secretary General and Spokesperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has appealed to the party to reinstate him in his previous positions.
RSP on August 27 expelled Dhakal from the general membership of the party after finding his conduct against the party discipline.
Before expelling him from the party, RSP had asked Dhakal to furnish clarification as to why he should not be removed from the general membership of the party.
RSP had earlier removed Dhakal from his responsibilities as Secretary General and Spokesperson of the party.
After his expulsion from the general membership of the party, Dhakal had commented that he had been “expelled from Rabi Lamichhane’s club”.
He filed an appeal with the party’s appeal committee on Sunday, claiming that the action taken against him was contrary to the party’s constitution.
