KATHMANDU: Dengue infection has spread to 74 out of 77 districts in Nepal.
According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) of the Ministry of Health and Population, 4,097 cases have been recorded throughout the country from January till Monday. Two deaths from dengue have been recorded so far.
Gandaki Province has seen the highest number of infections, with 1,669 cases reported. Among districts, Tanahun has the highest number of confirmed cases at 781, according to the EDCD.
Likewise, 380 cases have been reported in Kathmandu, 177 in Parbat, 157 in Chitwan and 149 in Jhapa. The number of cases is less than 100 in other districts.
No dengue cases have been recorded in Mustang, Humla, and Jumla so far.
