‘Decade of Investment in Agriculture’ to begin from next fiscal year

KATHMANDU: The government has declared 2024/25-2033/34 as the ‘Decade of Investment in Agriculture’.

The government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2024/25, presented in the joint session of the House of Representatives and National Assembly by President Ram Chandra Poudel on Tuesday, state that the upcoming fiscal year will focus on increasing production, productivity, and marketing in the agriculture sector.

Likewise, the government has stated that it would implement an agricultural ecosystem improvement action plan in 2024/25. Similarly, the government has said that it would develop an agricultural system based on land use that clearly establishes the interrelationship between agriculture, livestock and forestry.
