Dahal’s criticism of government reflects his frustrations: Pokharel

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s recent statements reflect frustration rather than facts.

In a social media post on Sunday morning, Pokharel commented that Prachanda is experiencing pain and restlessness as the government performs well. “Prachanda ji, what are you saying? These facts show that your words are driven by frustration, not truth,” he wrote. “Revenue has significantly increased compared to when you were Prime Minister.”

Pokharel claimed that since the coalition government with Nepali Congress (NC) came to power, foreign currency reserves have expanded, the balance of payments has seen substantial savings, and payments to construction businesses, which the previous government failed to provide, have been cleared.

He further stated that bank liquidity has improved, interest rates have decreased and investments have begun to rise.
