KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) is beginning its ‘Special Transformation Campaign’ from Ward-2 of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu.
Under the campaign, the party plans to reach out to every ward in 653 local units in all seven provinces.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the chairperson of the Maoist Center, is scheduled to formally launch the campaign in Chandragiri, Kathmandu. The party is launching the campaign across the country from September 2.
The central committee meeting of the Maoist Center held in Kathmandu in the first week of August had decided to organize the nationwide campaign. The campaign will continue for three months.
Under the campaign, Maoist Center leaders – from chairman to province committee officials – will visit each ward and inform people about the activities being carried out by the government.
Maoist Center Vice President and Spokesperson, Agni Prasad Sapkota, said that the party has completed the first phase of preparatory meetings in each local unit.
The party has decided to hold the statute convention after the completion of the transformation program.
