KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the coalition government of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML is opaque, unconstitutional and undemocratic.
Talking to reporters in Nepalgunj on Tuesday morning, Dahal criticised the government for frequently relying on ordinances despite enjoying a two-thirds majority and termed such acts an undemocratic practice.
Dahal was on his way to Tikapur in Kailali where he is scheduled to inaugurate the national conference of the Tharu National Liberation Front.
He clarified that his party is not engaged in any efforts to change the government. “The longer the current government, the more beneficial it would be for our party,” he added.
Dahal also said that his party’s ongoing campaign aims to connect the party with all sections of society, identify the problems that people are facing and strengthen national unity by preserving local art, culture and community identities.
