Dahal said his govt was toppled while he was working to improve governance

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that his government fell while he was intensifying efforts for good governance.

Speaking at a program organized in memory of Nepal Communist Party founding member, the late Nara Bahadur Karmacharya, on Wednesday, Dahal said a plot to topple his government was hatched while he was working for good governance, social justice and economic prosperity. “As we focused on addressing people’s concerns while in the government, we have left government victorious,” he added.

Dahal also said the new political development has created a good political base for the Maoist Center. “We should now convert it into our organizational strengths. We have the opportunity to strengthen our party further,” he added.

Likewise, Senior Vice Chairperson of the party, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, said only the Maoist Center can create a foundation of socialism through the country’s economic prosperity.
