KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that a new enthusiasm has been seen in the economy with the formation of a new coalition.
Addressing central committee members and advisers from Madhesh Province of CPN (Maoist Center) on Sunday, Dahal said he has found industrialists and business people more enthusiastic. “The economy has also become dynamic and free from pressure,” Dahal, who is also the chairperson of the Maoist Center, said.
Dahal also clarified that he has already directed the concerned agencies to prepare effective programs and allocate sufficient budget to achieve results.
“The federal government won’t allocate budget for projects with an estimated cost less than Rs 30 million,” Dahal said, adding that he has directed officials to bring a special package for the Madhesh Province in the new budget. “I have instructed the finance ministry to prepare a package focusing on the basic issues of the Madhes Province such as physical infrastructure, health, education, and employment. There will be something new for Madhesh this time,” he added.
Dahal also claimed that the government has addressed the problems of usury victims and also resolved citizenship-related issues.
