KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is currently on an official visit to India, paid his respects at Rajghat – the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, on Thursday. He offered floral tributes during his visit.
Dahal is scheduled to hold talks with his Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, later today. Following the meeting with Modi, there are plans to hold a delegation-level meeting. Subsequently, the two Prime Ministers will address a joint press conference after signing the agreement and inaugurating certain projects.
Likewise, Dahal is also scheduled to have courtesy meetings with Indian President Drapudi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhad. In the evening, Dahal will address the industrialists and businessmen of Nepal and India at Hotel Maurya.
On Wednesday, Dahal met Ajit Doval, the National Security Adviser to Indian Prime Minister Modi.
This is Dahal’s first official visit since his appointment as Prime Minister six months ago. He is also scheduled to visit Indore and Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh state of India before coming home.
