KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shashank Koirala has stated that the current government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal is likely to complete its full term.
Speaking to reporters in Chitwan on Sunday, Koirala expressed his belief that there is no possibility of a change in the government despite a rift in the power coalition. “In my opinion, the government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal can last for five years,” Koirala remarked.
Koirala stated that the nation requires a stable government in the present circumstances.
He also suggested that the Nepali Congress should participate in elections independently without forming any alliances. “I still believe that the Nepali Congress should have remained in the opposition,” he added. He further noted that new political forces are emerging in the country due to weaknesses in party leadership.
“Our ideology is very sound. If we can make changes in our working style, we can progress independently,” he concluded.
