KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army eased the curfew and restrictions on Thursday morning.
According to a notice issued by the army, the curfew has been lifted until 10 am on Thursday. However, prohibitory orders will remain in place from 10 am to 5 pm.
Movement will be allowed between 5 pm and 7 pm for essential services, after which the curfew will again be enforced from 7 pm until 6 am Friday.
“Even during curfew and prohibitory hours, vehicles providing essential services—including ambulances, hearses, fire trucks, security forces, media, and those transporting food, medicine, drinking water, and fresh produce—will be permitted to operate,” the notice said.
Staff of government agencies, banks, financial institutions, and other public offices will also be allowed to commute by presenting valid identification, the army said in the notice.
