KATHMANDU: CREASION and the European Union (EU) have announced the launch of the GreenShift project in Bagmati, Lumbini, and Madhesh provinces of Nepal.
The project will be implemented in three local units in each province, according to CREASON.
Minister for Forest and Environment, Bagmati Province Government, Masina Khadka, inaugurated the initiative in Bharatpur of Chitwan on Wednesday.
Anand Mishra, founder & president of CREASION, said that the organization is committed to encouraging the circularity of plastic waste for a net-zero carbon Nepal. “A collective and compassionate effort is crucial to achieve the net-zero emission target, Mishra added.
Likewise, Eloisa Astudillo, Deputy Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Nepal, emphasized the role of harnessing youth energy to drive the circularity of plastic waste.
On the occasion, ten climate-smart entrepreneur stalls, including Kanduk Industry, Eco-Revive, and Kleanit Nepal, showcased their eco-friendly and sustainable products.
