KATHMANDU: As voting has concluded successfully in Kathmandu, officials have begun preparations for the vote count.
The District Election Office, Kathmandu, has arranged separate counting centers for all 10 constituencies. Thakur Prasad Bhattarai, chief election officer of Kathmandu, said counting will begin at all 10 constituencies from Sunday evening itself. “Preparations are underway to bring the ballot boxes at the counting centers. We will then hold all-party meetings in all constituencies,” Bhattarai said, adding that needful preparations have already been made at the counting centers.
Earlier, the Election Commission used to bring ballot boxes of all 10 constituencies at the City Hall.
According to EC, vote counting of Kathmandu-1 will be held at International Convention Center, New Baneshwar; Kathmandu-2 at Radha Krishna Temple, Thali; Kathmandu-3 at Chamunda Secondary School, Jorpati; Kathmandu-4 at Senior Citizens Home, Chapali; and Kathmandu-5 at Shree Samaj Building.
Likewise, votes of Kathmandu-6 will be counted at Dharmasthali; Kathmandu-7 at Judo Hall, Balaju; Kathmandu-8 at Gitamata School, Swoyambhu; Kathmandu-9 at NATHM College, Rabi Bhawan; and Kathmandu-10 at TU Memorial Building, Kirtipur.
