Committee formed to recommend new TU Vice Chancellor

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chancellor KP Sharma Oli has formed a three-member recommendation committee, chaired by Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant, to select a new Vice-Chancellor for Tribhuvan University.

Geeta Kumari Paudyel, a member of the National Planning Commission overseeing education, and Dr. Deepak Kafle, Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, are the other members of the committee, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Chancellor Oli accepted the resignation of Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Keshar Jung Baral, on April 10.

Registrar Prof Dr Khadga KC has been appointed as the Acting Vice-Chancellor for a maximum of three months or until a new appointment is made.
