CoAS Sharma off to India to attend 13th IPACC

KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Prabhu Ram Sharma left for India on Sunday to attend the 13th Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs Conference (IPACC).

Lieutenant General Saroj Pratap Rana bid farewell to CoAS Sharma at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Sunday. High-ranking army officials were present at TIA to see off CoAS Sharma. Earlier, a contingent of Nepal Army offered a guard of honor to CoAS at the army headquarters in Bhadrakhali.

The IPACC will be held in New Delhi from September 25 to 27.

According to the Directorate of Military Public Relations, Lieutenant General Rana will assume the duties of CoAS during Sharma’s absence.

Sharma is scheduled to return in October.
