MORANG: Central committee member of Nepali Congress Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that the five-party coalition will form the upcoming government under the leadership of Nepali Congress (NC).
Talking to media persons at his residence in Biratnagar on Thursday, Koirala claimed that coalition members like CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) and few others will join the government. Koirala also said the party will decide whether to hold an election or form a consensus to select the party’s parliamentary leader only after meeting with party leaders.
Though the ruling coalition is heading toward the required majority to form the government, the coalition partners are divided over who will lead the government. NC President Deuba wants to lead the government, but Maoist Center has been saying that the NC should support its Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to form the government.
