KATHMANDU: The 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) on Monday approved a proposal to distribute a 13% dividend from the profits earned in the fiscal year 2023/24.
The AGM approved the management’s proposal to distribute a 7% stock dividend and a 6% cash dividend (inclusive of taxes), according to a statement issued by the CIT.
The AGM also approved the annual report for the fiscal year 2023/24 presented by Chairperson Dr Surya Bahadur Thapa.
The meeting endorsed the auditor’s report and financial statements, including the balance sheet, profit and loss account, and cash flow statements as of mid-July 2024.
According to the CIT, its fund size stood at Rs 261 billion as of mid-September 2024, while total investment remained at Rs 250 billion.
Speaking on the occasion, CIT Chairperson Dr Thapa said the Trust is committed to promoting its programs, particularly by involving Nepalis engaged in self-employment and foreign employment.
