Chitra Bahadur KC elected from Baglung-1

KATHMANDU: Chitra Bahadur KC of Rastriya Jana Morcha (RJM) has been elected to the House of Representatives from the Baglung-1 constituency.

KC – the common candidate of the five-party ruling coalition – received 21,451 votes. His closest contender Surya Prasad Thakur of CPN-UML polled 18,825 votes.

Similarly, Khimananda Kandel of Rastriya Swatantra Party got 9,182 votes.

The octagenarian leader is the oldest lawmaker elected so far. Also, this is RJM’s first victory in the 2022 election.
