KATHMANDU: Deputy Chief of the Office of International Military Cooperation of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Major General Zhang Baoqun paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff General Prabhu Ram Sharma at the Nepal Army headquarters on Sunday.
Various aspects of the relationship between the two neighboring countries as well as the Nepali Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and issues of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting, according to a statement issued by the Nepal Army.
A six-member team of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, led by Major General Baoqun, arrived in Nepal on Saturday. It is scheduled to visit various cultural and tourist places in Kathmandu, Lumbini and Pokhara.
The team will return home after concluding its four-day visit on Tuesday.
