JANAKPURDHAM: Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Saroj Kumar Yadav, was sworn in on Friday.
Province Chief Hari Shankar Mishra administered the oath and office to Yadav amid an event organized at the Office of the Province Chief. Yadav took the oath in Bhjpuri language.
Chief Minister Yadav has appointed three ministers – Saroj Yadav of CPN-UMl, Sanjaya Yadav of Janata Samajbadi Party and Basanta Kushbaha of Janamat Party – in his cabinet. They were also sworn in on Friday. They, however, are yet to be given portfolios.
Chief Minister Yadav has the support of the seven-party alliance formed at the center. Two coalition partners – JSP and Janamat Party – have agreed to lead the province government on a rotating basis.
