Chauthaiwale meets PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Vijay Chauthaiwale, head of the foreign affairs department of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who is on an informal visit to Nepal, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday.

During the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, discussions were held on various issues related to mutual relations and interests between Nepal and India, according to a member of the Prime Minister’s secretariat.

Chauthaiwale, who arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday, has already met three former Prime Ministers – Sher Bahadur Deuba, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal. He has also met with Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and several Nepali Congress and Maoist Center leaders.
