KATHMANDU: Chandra Prasad Dhakal assumed the office of President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Sunday.
After assuming office, Dhakal told media persons that FNCCI would prepare a strategy to address the economic crisis that the nation is currently facing. He also added that the FNCCI would take the necessary initiatives to create an investment-friendly environment in the country by strengthening the partnership between the government and the private sector. Moreover, he mentioned that producing a skilled workforce, creating jobs, and increasing the morale of the private sector are the other areas that FNCCI would focus on.
Dhakal, who was the senior vice president in the outgoing executive, was automatically elevated to the post of President after the 57th general assembly of the FNCCI.
