KATHMANDU: Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) and Nepal Business Institute (NBI) together with the Government of Nepal are jointly organizing the “Nepal Business Summit 2023” in Kathmandu on May 7.
The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, according to the organizers.
Addressing a press meet in Kathmandu on Monday, CBFIN President Pawan Kumar Golyan stated that the business summit would focus on major potential sectors of Nepal for a sustainable economy. “Along with that, we will identify various problems and challenges faced by various sectors of the economy, along with solutions,” Golyan said. “There is also a need to remove confusion regarding BFIs for industrialists, businesspersons, and other borrowers. Bridging the gaps between BFIs and industrialists/borrowers will remove confusion about BFIs and their ongoing performance.”
Executive Chairman of Nepal Business Institute, Bishal Gaire, said that the summit would try to remove wrong perceptions about BFIs.
The summit also aims at promoting exports and supporting the formation of a self-sufficient economy through partnerships and investments.
