KATHMANDU: Cricket Canada has confirmed that its ICC World Cricket League 2 tri-series with Nepal and Oman will be followed by a T20I tri-series.

While the WCL 2 tri-series will be played between September 16 and September 26, the T20I tri-series will be played between September 28 and October 3.

Popular commentator Andrew Leonard confirmed the fixture. “Fantastic news confirmed overnight by Cricket Canada that we will see a 6-match T20I series following ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 in Toronto from September 28th – October 3rd,” he wrote on X.

Nepal is scheduled to play Canada on September 16 and September 22, while it will meet Oman on September 18 and September 24.

All the matches will be played at Maple Leaf Cricket Ground in King City, Ontario.

Nepal will leave for Canada after its Sri Lanka tour, where it will play a three-match one-day series against the Sri Lanka Development Squad.

Canada is currently third, behind the Netherlands and Scotland, with eight points from eight matches, while Oman is sixth with three points from four matches and Nepal is seventh with 2 points from as many matches.
