Cabinet approves policies and programs for 2024/25

KATHMANDU: The cabinet has approved the policies and programs for the fiscal year 2024/25.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, who is also the Government Spokesperson, said a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday afternoon approved the policy document for the coming fiscal year.

President Ram Chandra Poudel is scheduled to present the policies and programs in the joint session of the House of Representatives and National Assembly later today.

According to Sharma, the cabinet also approved the 16th National Plan. The five-year plan begins from the coming fiscal year.

The National Planning Commission (NPC) had sent a draft of the 16th National Plan for endorsement on Sunday.
