KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co Ltd in Nepal, and Nabil Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate for electric vehicle (EV) financing of BYD vehicles.
Issuing a statement, Cimex Inc said Nabil Bank will provide up to 80% bank financing on BYD electric vehicles.
“This collaboration aims at offering easy retail financing for customers looking to purchase vehicles from BYD. As per the agreement, customers will get easy access to loan facility from all branch offices of Nabil Bank with an interest rate of 12.99% for up to 7 years,” the company added in the statement.
The agreement means customers can buy a BYD electric vehicle by making a 20% down payment.
Cimex is offering BYD ATTO 3 and all-New e6 in the Nepali market. While the price of ATTO 3 starts from Rs 8.99 million, the all-New e6 can be driven home for Rs 5.9 million.
