KATHMANDU: A Mahindra Bolero jeep registered in the Indian state of Bihar plunged into the Trishuli River in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to Armed Police Force (APF) Joint Spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa, police swung into action after the driver of a passenger bus alerted the police of seeing headlamp lighting inside the waters of the Trishuli River. “A Bolero has been located in Trishuli River about 100 meters below bridge No.3 in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-5 of Chitwan district,” Thapa said. “Two separate teams from APF, including seven divers, have reached the accident site.”
Thapa said that no passengers have been found so far. It is also not clear how many passengers were in the car, Thapa added.
