POKHARA: The body of one of the two Spanish trekkers, who went missing during the Ghorepani trek in the Annapurna Region on Sunday, has been found.
Spanish trekkers Eric Casanovas and Molas Junka Messi went out of contact during their trek from Tirkhedhunga in Annapurna Rural Municipality-9 while on their way to Ghorepani.
Locals informed the police after finding two bags, mobile phones, caps, and trekking gear near the Bhrungdi River bridge on Sunday.
The body of one of the trekkers was found about one and a half kilometers downstream on Tuesday, according to Bharat Man Gurung, the spokesperson for the Annapurna Rural Municipality.
