POKHARA: Police have recovered the body of Sangam Mishra (19) of Lamachaur, Kaski, who went missing while undergoing treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital on Monday.

Mishra’s body was found trapped in a rock in the Seti River near Nadipur in Pokhara-3, according to DSP Shravan Kumar BK, the information officer at the District Police Office.

The local administration opened the Seti River dam from noon on Thursday to locate the body after police found Mishra’s identity card and clothes on a bridge on the Seti River.

The body has been taken to Western Regional Hospital for post-mortem examination, according to BK.

Mishra, who was undergoing treatment at the emergency ward of Manipal Teaching Hospital, disappeared on Monday. He went missing while his father, who was attending to him, went out of the emergency ward to purchase medicine prescribed by the doctors.
