KATHMANDU: The body of a Chinese national, who had gone missing in an avalanche at Chhumrung along the Annapurna Base Camp trail in Annapurna Rural Municipality–11 of Kaski, has been recovered.
A search and rescue squad of the Armed Police Force (APF) recovered the body on April 5.
The Chinese citizen, Yi Chengyong (28) had gone missing on March 24 while coming back from Annapurna Base Camp.
The squad, which included disaster management personnel from APF No. 24 Kalika Battalion, Kaski, found the body at around 12:30 pm, according to APF Joint Spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa.
Meanwhile, search efforts are ongoing for a young man who went missing in the Marsyangdi River at Baradi in Abukhaireni Rural Municipality–1 of Tanahun district on Friday, according to APF.
