Biratnagar fire claims two lives, injures five

ITAHARI: Two persons died when a fire broke out at a warehouse of scrap products in Biratnagar on Wednesday.

According to the District Police Office, Morang, one of the deceased has been identified as Deepak Mandal (32) from Biratnagar-7. The identity of the second victim is yet to be confirmed.

Police have rescued five individuals from the warehouse and rushed them to various hospitals for treatment. Rita Sardar (60) and Sushila Paswan (65) of Biratnagar-6, along with Pinky Kamat (30) of Katahari-6, are currently undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital. Additionally, Kishro Kamat (58) of Biratnagar-6 is receiving medical care at Koshi Hospital.

Fire engines of different entities as well as Nepal Army and police personnel are trying to take the fire under control.
