Bipin Joshi’s mother, sister meet Israeli President

KATHMANDU: The mother and sister of Bipin Joshi, who was taken captive by Hamas following the October 2023 attack in Israel, have met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

During the meeting, Bipin’s mother Padma and sister Pushpa urged President Herzog to help secure Bipin’s release, say officials at the Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv.

Nepal’s envoy to Israel, Dhan Prasad Poudel, was also present during the meeting.

President Herzog responded by saying he considers Bipin as one of his own citizens and assured that the Israeli government is continuously working to secure the release of all hostages.

Bipin’s mother and sister, and the Nepali ambassador also held talks with Amir Ohana, the Speaker of the Israeli Parliament.
