Bara accident: All deceased identified

KATHMANDU: The police have identified the individuals who lost their lives in the tragic bus accident that occurred early Tuesday morning on the East-West Highway in Bara district.

The accident claimed the lives of seven people including six Indian nationals. Nineteen others were injured in the accident. The deceased have been officially identified as Bijaya Pandi from Loharpatti, Mahottari, as well as Indian nationals Shreekant Chaturvedi, Bahadur Singh, Satyabati, Miradevi, Rajendra Chaturvedi, and Vaijyanti Devi. The Indian nationals are from Rajasthan state, according to the police. Likewise, 16 of the deceased are also belong to Rajasthan.

Police have arrested bus driver Zilami Khan, along with his two assistants from Janakpur for investigation.
