Bajhang Accident: Two dead, three airlifted to Nepalgunj for treatment

KATHMANDU: Two of the five injured in a car accident in Bajhang on Tuesday afternoon have succumbed to injuries.

“Amrita Singh and her relative Jayadevi Singh have passed away,” Satya Kumari Joshi, the officiating Chief District Officer of Bajhang, told Himal Press.

The condition of Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Sudurpashchim Province, Prithbi Bahadur Singh, his personal security officer Deepak Bhandari and driver Dharmadev Joshi is critical, according to Joshi.

“The three have been airlifted to Nepalgunj for treatment,” she added.

The car enroute to Bajhang district headquarters Chainpur from Dadeldhura met with an accident at Dharchhada in Kedarsyun Rural Municipality. The car veered off the road and fell 50 meters below on the banks of the Kalanga River.
