KATHMANDU: Chitwan-based BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital is expanding its services to all seven provinces of the country.
According to Dr Shivaji Paudel, executive director of the hospital, preparations are underway to have a separate five-bed cancer treatment facility in at least one government hospital in all the provinces. “This facility will be crucial in diagnosing cancer in patients,” he told news agency RSS.
Such facilities will be started in Dhankuta of Koshi Province, Janakpur of Madhesh, Damauli of Gandaki, Dang of Lumbini, Surkhet of Karnali and Dhangadhi of Sudurpashchim.
Paudel added that a team of specialist doctors will visit these expanded units once a month.
